"Stella" means "star" in Latin.  I've had a fascination with the stars for as long as I can remember, and I love to look at them to this day!  I hope to do some research on ancient and medieval constellations all over the world, and of course astrology was a part of ancient and medieval medicine.  I'm lumping the topics of astronomy and astrology together for now because although we consider them to be vastly different topics today, I think they were probably considered as a single topic until the early modern period. I guess I'll find out after I do more reading!
