I intend to keep pictures of finished scrolls and scrolls-in-progress here. I have to figure out a good way to organize them though, hmm ... I'll try by year completed and manuscript name and see how that goes.
My standard materials are gouache, ink, and mix-media paper. I use white ink and a dip pen for whitework, which is a godsend! I also use a lightbox. :-/ I want to improve my draftsmanship, but it's just not there yet and I want to hurry up and get to the painting part! (I seem to enjoy the composition and the painting part the most, not so much the drawing part because I get frustrated. One day I hope my draftsmanship will catch up to my imagination; in the meantime, thank heavens for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop! ;-) ) |
