I've seen some really interesting woodcuts as I look through facsimilies of old books, and I'd like to try my hand at making my own. Oddly enough, my awareness of woodcuts came as I looked at embroidery books - the earliest embroidery patterns that exist today were woodcuts. (I'm glad I didn't have to carve out all those itty-bitty grid lines!)
One of my dream A&S projects is to make a woodcut set of tarot cards, but I'm a long, long way from doing that. :P
I have a lovely walnut benchhook made by Egill's Woodstuffs, and I need to start carving!
