I'm not the chef in the family - that would be Camillo da Milano, my husband. :) I do, however, like to eat and I love wine! I am also a big fan of tea. I'm actually growing two tea plants, but it will be several more years before they're big enough to harvest leaves from. I don't think tea reached Europe until the 17th century, so I'll probably be studying tea from an Asian perspective. (I need to confirm the date that tea hit the scene in Europe, definitely!) I'm also really curious about what Italian cuisine was like before the tomato arrived. At this point it boggles my mind to imagine Italian food without tomatoes! So I'd like to get myself educated about that. |
